Overconfidence and Under-Planning

I was pretty darn sure I had a post scheduled for yesterday. Because for once- for once– I’d scheduled out more than just a week in advance.

And it was a good thing, too. Aside from the aforementioned wedding, and the accompanying dual plane flights shepherding 3 children in their first decade of life single-handedly through the (according to them) Escher-esque neverending halls of an airport and making sure they don’t kick the chair in front of them to oblivion, or their sister for that matter… when did I start this sentence? I’m not going to finish it without meandering as far as we did through airport terminals.

Okay. So. Wedding. 2 plane flights with small children. Death in the family. Funeral. School started. Covid. 2 outdoor events at church (after testing negative for Covid). Planning lesson for self and husband. Helping with funeral arrangements. Family visits. I’m absolutely positive there were other things but they’ve been swallowed up in the above large events. Please understand my brain is fried. Grilled through like a roasted cob of corn that got dipped in butter at a Labor Day picnic. Gnawed to pieces like a roasted buttered salted cob of corn at a Labor Day picnic… mmmm, grilled corn.

Long story short, or very short post short, I’m sorry about this week. We’ll be back on track next Monday.
